Buying a home isn’t only about dotting your I’s and crossing your T’s and sometimes it’s nice to just be able to dwell on the feel good reasons of buying a home.
So let’s take a break and forget about the do’s and don’ts of real estate!
Let’s take a moment to reflect on why we all have that desire to buy a home.
For instance think about the sense of pride and achievement that comes with owning your first home, or second! The satisfaction, that you and your family will experience paying off your own home instead of someone else’s.
Buying a home also gives us a sense of personal security, because no matter what, it is yours and you are always able to retreat to a place where you’re welcome and where other’s can only enter if invited. You make the rules in your home.
There is also the feeling of financial security, and don’t we all crave that! While saving in general can be tough, saving to pay off your home can be greatly satisfying, as with each payment you become closer to total ownership. And once your home is fully yours it will become your greatest financial asset.
Homes keep a family together. It’s a place where children grow and where they will feel secure because of the stability you’ve provided them with.
When you buy a home it becomes a part of who you are, there’s always something to be doing; like hanging that favourite holiday memory, pottering in the garden or just lazing about on a sun bed day dreaming of all the new summer styles you’re going to redecorate with this season! The entire family will enjoy a lifetime of hours at home and so it is inevitable that it begins to occupy you as much as you do it.
Your home also has the power to bring you up when you’re feeling down, and when it can’t pull you out or your just feeling ill, where else would you rather be than the comfort of your home. No matter where we go or how long we go for, we always miss home. Sometimes not until we finally put those bags down inside the front door, but then the warmth and familiarity floods back to us and we sigh a sigh of relief.
“Home” is a positive word that evokes memories of joyous occasions and dreams of what the future holds. When you think of your home it is full of special memories and good feelings associated with it, right from the sweet smell of baked goods in the kitchen to the way the dappled sunrays warm your bed in the afternoon.
Ultimately your home is at the heart of your life and will quickly become the anchor to which you and your family are tethered together.
So buy a home and get excited about banging in that nail for your first “Home Sweet Home” sign, it will be one of the greatest joys your experience in life!
